| Ferret is a demonstration application that makes the power of Idetix eScore Tools technology available to non-technical knowledge workers. This application allows the user to configure their own custom environment and to quickly begin accessing and integrating (federating) information from disparate sources. While Idetix eScore Tools supports 10 of the most common types of databases including Oracle, SQL, DB2, Sybase and others, Ferret initially accommodates only SQL and Oracle databases. This is primarily due to the fact that, in addition to providing the ability to access "data" stored in the configured databases, Ferret provides the ability to extract database "metadata". Additional database types will added in the near future, as customer demand requires. |
